Responsibilities

 This particular role is designed to provide support to the Front Office (FO) and act as liaison between the Front Office and Operations to ensure a seamless booking process, and to act on, escalate and resolve any booking related queries. Support the Client set up process and ensure accurate regulatory reporting. Key functions include:

  • Validate Front Office Foreign Exchange (FX) calculations relating to the MENA swap business. Ensure that Front Office books the FX transactions within the agreed deadline and that the trades have fed through to Operations in a timely manner within the settlement deadlines.
  • Ensure that the Front Office take necessary actions for prompt resolution of queries raised by Operations. 
  • Review and monitor market announcements relating to the MENA swap business and update the corporate action sheet .Send it to the Asset Servicing and Prime Swap departments in London.
  • Ensure the FX calculations for dividends have been booked by the Front Office into the relevant Front Office trade capture system.
  • Work with the Trade Support team in Pune to ensure all FOBO breaks have been acted upon by close of business, and escalate where necessary to Front Office and Operations.
  • Ensure the daily commission FX booking relating to the MENA Swap business has been booked accurately by the Front Office and within the agreed deadline.
  • Work with the Prime Swap middle Office to ensure all T0 breaks have been acted upon by close of business, and escalate where necessary to Front Office and Operations.
  • Review and check the daily Cancel and Correct trades.
  • Ensure that the daily FOFO reconciliation has been performed within the required timeframes and that any breaks have been escalated and resolved by the Front Office.
  • Prepare and validate trade information for the regulatory reporting process. Ensure that the reporting is accurate and sent within stated deadline.
  • Perform the end of day Saxess to Tradenet   reconciliation, ensure that any issues are escalated to Front Office and resolved by close of business.
  • Update newly listed companies on the Exchange in both the local and core trade capture systems.
  • Support the Front Office in the client set up process. Liaise with Compliance and On-boarding team where required. 
  • Ensure all corporate action transactions have been accurately and timely reflected internally in the client’s portfolio position and accounts.
  • Perform reconciliation on the N6J wash book; ensure positions are cleared at the end of Day.
  • Check for unexpected Prop positions, prepare daily cash & holding details report and send to the business line.
  • Coordinate with both business and Operations to make sure that the OTC trades have been executed in line with the Tadawul bookings reflected in the local system.
  • Send Confirmations to our Corporate Customers via Bloomberg.
  • Perform query management where required.
  • Provide the Front Office and Operations with the optimal level of service.
  • Attend the local IT Steering Committee, and distribute the IT Book of Work to the Functional Manager
  • Risk and Control Reviews: Develop process flow diagrams for key processes & perform (as a minimum) a yearly risk assessment to identify key risks and controls, identify control issues and implement remedial actions. Ensure that these flow diagrams are updated as and when process or business changes are proposed.

  • Responsible for operational efficiencies of ATMs with respect to -
  • Analyzing reported downtime and suggesting ways to minimize the same.
  • Review Cash replenishment services outsourced for off-site ATMs. Identify gaps & recommend best solutions. Incorporate these services as & when services are provided by vendor for off-site ATMs.
  • Suggest way forward with regard to obsolete ATMs and/or possible redeployment of ATMs based on service, location or possible buy-back option with vendor.
  • Prepare cost sheet analysis for new ATM installations to seek management approval.
  • Do a periodic check of ATM payments made and received and also assist in the maintenance of the IMD codes in the network with a view to mitigate frauds.
  • Liaise with Finance for Asset value & apportion of costs to respective heads.
  • Formulating and designing all reporting requirements of call center i.e. IVR, Siebel, Vendor payments (Utility provider’s report).
