Assistant Merchandise Planner – Ref:SM/17/01/G1
Responsibilities
To manage the inventory and net margins of the department by ensuring ideal overall stock covers, balanced stock mix between ABC and controlled markdowns and suggest order quantity to buyers for smooth inventory flow.
Forecast sales of core lines based on historical sales, new stores, trends and place reorders accordingly.
Forecast and place orders for New Launches and work on Initial Allocation / Model Stock.
Compare Planned Sales versus Actual sales and take necessary corrective steps.
Monitor and Analyze Best Sellers/ Worst Sellers and New Launches.
Maintain stock health.
Ensure required stock level for best selling items in both warehouse and store.
Reduce slow moving item, obsolete stocks.
Minimize OOS situations.
Ensure overall stock cover at ideal level.
Be informed on Orders / Delivery and other product related issues. (delays, quality etc.)
Regular analysis of the brand on various aspects and reports for the business.
Support Buying Team with Range and Category Planning.
Suggest items for Revamp / Discontinuation
Interaction with Branch Merchandisers and Warehouse. (on allocation status, revising model stocks etc.)
Joint visits to the stores with buyers, Branch Merchandise and Retail team on regular basis.
Qualifications
High School Certificate.
MS Office competent.
Retail Merchandise Planning experience at least 1 year.
